Readwriteshare.net was founded in 2005 as a means for amateur writers to break into the business.  Readwriteshare.net's founder (Mike) is a writer himself, and is always working on one project or another.

In his online travels he noticed that there were very few sites that encouraged writers to congregate, share ideas with one another, and help each other along the way.  Thus, Readwriteshare.net was born.
